Booklist Review

Ages 5^-8. Spanish-speaking children now have the opportunity to laugh at the antics of Harry, el perrito sucio (the dirty dog), who is not even recognized by his family. Harry, once a white dog with black spots, hides his scrub brush and becomes a black dog with white spots. When he digs up his scrub brush, and the children give him a bath, they finally recognize him. This joyful Spanish rendition has the same bold black lines and loose dashes of greens and oranges of the popular English edition.

Horn Book Review

This Spanish translation of the classic picture book 'Harry the Dirty Dog' (Harper) preserves the clarity of Zion's original text. Young readers of this edition will rejoice along with Harry's owners when they wash the black dog with white spots and discover '!Es Harry! !Es nuestro Harry!'
